Hi my name is Natalia Ferreira and I am excited to be a first grade teacher at Bamford Elementary! I was born in La Habra, CA and moved to Colorado in 2004. My husband, son and I live in Windsor and have been part of the community for many years now. Our family loves to spend time together, whether we are camping, swimming, riding horses, or playing with our 2 dogs.
I love being a first grade teacher! My favorite part is teaching kiddos how to read! What a skill to learn at such a young age, a skill that follows you the rest of your life. I also love building a classroom community that teaches my students to be kind, understanding individuals that can build up each other.
I went to the University of Northern Colorado for my teaching degree and then earned my Masters in Biology: Conservation Education from the Denver Zoo in partnership with Miami University. Not many people can say that they got to hang out with polar bears or orangutans in grad school!

I teach the present for the FUTURE! What a way to be a part of history!
