About Me

This is my 17th year teaching at the elementary level, and I love it!  I am grateful to have been called into this amazing career and all the students I work with continue to be my “why”.

I have a Bachelor's Degree and Masters Degree in Special Education from the University of Northern Colorado. I LOVE learning and helping others learn!  I come from a long line of teachers and educators and knew this was my calling  from a very early age. I love being a mom and I cherish my family and love to spend my free time with them. I have 4 children - all taller than I:).  We are lucky to have our two boys living close by working and living in NOCO. They are graduates of Creighton University and Colorado State University.   Our two girls attend and play soccer at Iowa State University and Texas Tech University.  We love all sports but soccer is at the forefront with my husband coaching for the Colorado Rapids youth program while pursuing a career as a firefighter.   Our children all attended Fossil Ridge High School and I have worked in PSD at Bethke teaching special education for the past 10 years.  We are grateful for the wonderful education they received at PSD and I am proud to be a part of this amazing community.

When I am not spending time with my family, I love to be outdoors gardening, hiking, and soaking up the sun. Fitness, reading, and being creative are all part of my daily routines.  I enjoy running and am a member of the Burn Bootcamp community.  Relationships are at the heart of who I am and I cannot wait to walk in this educational journey with each of you.  Let’s make every minute of every day count!
