I am so happy and excited to be a part of the Bamford family! I am originally from South Dakota and graduated from the University of South Dakota. I began my teaching career in Austin, Texas, teaching both kindergarten and fourth grade. In 2000, I made the great decision to follow my family and move to beautiful Fort Collins.
I have had the honor of teaching first or second grade at Shepardson STEM Elementary for the past 21 years. Along the way, I earned a Master's Degree in Literacy and continue to be so thankful to be able to help guide first graders into becoming life- long readers. First grade is my home and I truly love all the enthusiasm, energy, and excitement that comes with teaching first graders.
My husband and I have a goofy labradoodle (Marley) and a chill Bernedoodle (Moose). We spend lots of time on walks, and they keep us laughing and on the move. We also LOVE exploring all the awesome restaurants in F.C. and checking out new places. We try to take advantage of the gorgeous Colorado weather and be outside on our bikes as often as we can. I also love to read, take long walks, cook, watch football and movies, and spend time with my family and friends.
I am so looking forward to getting to know all of you as we start our Bamford adventure together; it’s going to be a fabulous year!
