About Me

I am Tressa Evans and am very excited to be the Assistant Principal at Bamford Elementary.  I am a Colorado native, born and raised in the small, Southeastern town of Lamar. I moved to Fort Collins in 1992 to attend Colorado State University where I received my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and where I met my husband of 26 years, Shawn. I received my Master’s Degree from University of Northern Colorado in Early Childhood Special Education where I spent 15 wonderful years of my career, 9 years at Bacon Elementary, 3 of those serving students and families in the early childhood extensive Autism program and supporting other early childhood programs in the district as an early childhood coach. In 2013 I became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and moved into an Integrated Services leadership position where I have supported teachers, students and families, preschool-transition age, for the past 7 years. I could not be more excited to continue my journey in PSD and join Alissa in leading and supporting the team of amazing staff, students and families that will establish our Bamford community.

Both of my adult boys, Aiden - an Army Airborne Infantry Paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne at Fort Bragg and Avery – who lives on his own and works at Discount Tire Co here in Fort Collins, both went through our amazing school district. Fun fact: Mrs. Poduska was Avery’s amazing 3rd grade teacher😊 When not working, I love to travel, spend time on the lake, boating or paddle boarding, soaking up the Colorado sunshine and reading.

I cannot wait to meet you all and begin to establish our pack!!!
